November is National Adoption Awareness Month. Being an adoptive mom, this means a great deal to me.
I was recently contacted by Reece's Rainbow and asked to sponsor one of the kids off their Christmas Angel Tree Project. I, of course, agreed.
My daughter was lucky, she was born in the United States and had five families interested in making her a permanent part of their family.
Melissa, on the other hand, is not so lucky. She lives in the Ukraine and needs a family to call her own. Unfortunately, she was not in a "picture taking mood" when they took a picture of her, so it's been very difficult for Reece's Rainbow to find a family interested in bringing her home.

Throughout the months of November and December, I will be fund raising for Melissa and Reece's Rainbow to help find homes for this little girl and other children like her.
Right now, I have a fund raiser going on over at The T21 Traveling Afghan Project. We have four String Rings to give away and the money donated towards each bid goes directly to Reece's Rainbow.
I am also putting together a local fund raiser in mid-December to raise funds for Melissa and Reece's Rainbow.

Let's help get these kids home, where they belong!
